# Anamnesis ## Catechism of the Catholic Church The "remembrance" of God's saving deeds in history in the liturgical action of the Church, which inspires thanksgiving and praise ([[2.1.1.1.p2x|ccc-1103]]). Every Eucharistic Prayer contains an anamnesis or memorial in which the Church calls to mind the Passion, Resurrection, and glorious return of Christ Jesus ([[2.2.1.3.p40|ccc-1354]], [[2.2.1.3.p41|ccc-1362]]).
