# Saint
## Catechism of the Catholic Church
The "holy one" who leads a life in union with God through the grace of Christ and receives the reward of eternal life. The Church is called the communion of saints, of the holy ones ([[1.2.3.9.p29#^ccc-823|823]], [[1.2.3.9.p2b#^ccc-946|946]]; cf. [[1.2.3.9.p29#^ccc-828|828]]). _See_Canonization.
