(TOC) to OCDS While not underestimating the genuine Carmelite spirituality of the TOC, it must be recognized that a change from TOC to OCDS is a change in vocation. The TOC member, as well as the local Council, needs ample time and information to discern whether there is a calling to the OCDS. 1\. The TOC shall visit the community for at least six meetings. During this period the TOC attends aspirancy classes. If the local Council decides to accept the person into formation, the person shall enter Formation I.
