# Son of Man ## Catechism of the Catholic Church The title used by our Lord of himself in the Gospel. This title connotes a relationship with the eschatological figure of the "Son of man appearing in clouds and glory" in the prophecy of Daniel (_Mk_ 13:26; _Dn_7:13) ([[1.2.2.2.p1f#^ccc-440|440]]; cf. [[1.2.2.6.p1t#^ccc-661|661]]).
